Working across print, sculpture, and photography, I create abstract works inspired by formations shaped through geological time.
I am an artist working across print, sculpture, and photography, inspired by formations shaped through geological time.
My work explores ideas of deep time through abstraction, texture, and simplicity. Intricate lines and muted mineral palettes invite reflection, evoking a feeling of wonder and calm. Influenced by coastal geology and the movement of water, the work considers multiple timescales existing simultaneously — from gradual erosion to shifting light and tide.
Through print and three-dimensional form, I use contrasts between detail and simplicity to highlight geological formations shaped over millions of years. Light, surface, and spatial experience are integral to the work, encouraging slower and more contemplative engagement.
Ambiguity plays an important role within my practice, creating space to reflect on the textures, forms, and tonal elements of the natural world. By drawing attention to overlooked details and landscapes, the work aims to create both calm and a deeper appreciation for the earth’s beauty.
Over the past year, I have exhibited across Bristol as part of my developing practice, continuing to expand my approach to contemporary printmaking through material experimentation.
